ARES members are encouraged to apply for registration in the RACES. As ARES members, our stations may be used to coordinate events, do local emergency support and the like. HOWEVER, if there is an emergency activation of RACES, all non RACES stations may be asked to leave the air. It would be a shame to get ready to help our community in an emergency situation and then be forced to leave the air. The RACES application can be found here. You can fill out most of the items by typing in the information directly on the form and then printing it. Your typing will not be preserved if you attempt to download the form…so just print it out, and the Follow the instructions. Send it to The EC or the AEC-Training, and it will be forwarded appropriately.
